Topaz: The first precious stone

Everyone talks about precious stones, but do you really know how the first of them was discovered? This is not a conventional text about topaz, this is its history, and you will discover why the world chose it as the first precious stone of them all.

History of topaz

About 4000 years ago, there was a strange dark and mysterious place where only those who had the obligation, visited it. Very tenebrous, uninhabited and with a recurring shadow, the island of “Topazion” (whose name comes from the Greek “to seek”) is defined by its appearance in the past as a hell on the surface. Many are the stories that develop in ancient Egypt in historical and memorable places, but few times those places are as obscure as the island of “Topazion”, today known as the Island of San Juan or the island of Zabargad.

This island is part of a large group of islands located in the bay of Foul, in the red sea, south of Egypt. Its area is 4.50 km ² and is located north of the Tropic of Cancer, its highest point is 235 meters above sea level. Can you imagine a vacation there?

In spite of its darkness and the fear it generated, there was a very particular light that illuminated the whole island, and this meant for the explorers of the time an enormous mystery to be solved.

Zabgard Island

At a distance, the image of the island was very similar to when we observed from afar the illuminated fog, it was quite supernatural. Sometimes the light was yellow, other times a little more golden and even on other occasions, blue. This strange situation was one of the most curious for explorers who traveled to it in order to make new discoveries.

What perhaps nobody imagined is that this mystical light would be the projection of the oldest precious stone of all times: the topaz. When explorers were finally able to discover where the light came from, the history of this civilization and the world changed forever. This jewel was considered the mother of all precious stones, because it was the first time that the human being remained motionless in the face of such an impacting creation of nature.

There are different theories about the origin of its name, the best known is that of the Sanskrit term ‘tapas’, which means “color of fire”, but the most popular story tells us that since the island of topazios was the first place where this stone was found, they decided to give it that name.

Due to its antiquity, topaz is one of the most expensive jewels. Each person chooses the stone that will accompany him according to his needs and the color that most enamors him; but the great personalities always choose the beautiful imperial topaz, because it is considered a symbol of status and glamour.

But what miraculous event could have occurred on the surface of the earth for which the formation of this jewel would take place?

It turns out that topaz stone usually appears in cavities and seams of granite rocks, and what causes its formation is the action of fluoride vapors emanating after the last stages of solidification of igneous rocks.

The topaz stone became a precious stone thanks to its mineral composition, and its beauty and rarity. With the passage of time, its composition could be researched in detail and today the stone is described as such:

  • Luster:Vitreous
  • Hardness : 8
  • Rarity:rare
  • Formula: Al2(SiO4)(F,OH)2
  • Crystallization system:  Orthorhombic

In addition, it was discovered that this was not the only source of topaz in the world, as it can also be found in Zambia, Russia, the United States, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Brazil, Namibia and China.

The topaz stone gives glory to whoever carriesit.

The light that emanated from the island changed color frequently and this happened because from time to time, the different colors of the stone were reflected. Although it is almost always colorless, it can appear in different varieties of tones.

Topaz Colors

Blue topaz: the blue light that reflected the island was blue topaz. This color is very difficult to find naturally. Because of its great beauty, is often copied synthetically very frequently. It is the one that can be found in the most important deposits, among them England or Northern Ireland.

Topaz Champagne: It is found mainly in Mexico and it looks like a very clear and transparent brown, like the champagne drink.

Pink Topaz: The charming pink topaz is found authentically in Russia, Brazil or Pakistan, and the truth is that it is very rare. Usually these are stones in yellowish tones that when subjected to heat become a beautiful shade of pink.

Imperial topaz: the favorite of royalty and the most sought-after for jewelry, it cannot be obtained by treating any other topaz color and its most important deposit is in Brazil. Its name comes from the fact that Russian royalty considered it so beautiful and special that only they could have it.

These are the most frequent shades of the stone, however, throughout history we have been found red stones and different shades of orange that have been studied and correspond to topaz.

See topaz rings

However, this stone has also been the object of confusion on many occasions, the best known is the history of the Braganza diamond, an epic jewel of the Portuguese crown that has accompanied royalty since 1740 when it was found in the mines of Ouro Preto. It was long believed to be the world’s largest diamond, but over time it was discovered to be a topaz.

Topaz precious stone

There is no exact bibliographic record of who was that the first explorer that took a sample of this stone into his hands; but when topaz was discovered it became the stone of desire. To take it, however, one had to face a herd of snakes infesting the island. There are those who claim that their job was only to protect the stone.

The animals protected the stone because it was the last sigh of prosperity on that island, everything else was bleak. As the island grew lonelier, the light from the topaz crystal was a reflection of faith. The clarity of the stone defied the night and the darkness, so it became a symbol of loyalty and purity.

At that time, with a great number of diseases, pests and psychological affections, the Egyptians did not have ways to get out of their discomfort, so they turned all their faith in the topaz. They believed that just as it illuminated the island, it could illuminate their lives. According to history, the Egyptians were a civilization that believed that much of the energy of the earth and the sun resided in the stones; and just like the stones, they believed to have also the capacity to absorb this power. The topaz was the first of these magical amulets. They protected themselves with it because they faithfully believed that the evil of the earth and of their bodies was caused by evil spirits, so as if it were a guardian angel, they used its protection.

The greatest physical link that exists between the human being and the topaz stone is with the sense of sight, and in order to understand much better how it works it is necessary to tell the story of the person who made this discovery: Saint Hildegard of Bingen, who was a Benedictine abbess, Doctor of the Catholic Church, who used crystals and medicinal herbs to cure. Hildegardlived in a continuous process of knowledge of herself and her natural environment. She faithfully believed natural resources and humans corresponded to each other. 43 years passed and she did not leave her convent, she was happy there. During her stay, she was able to write a book where she reflected everything that the “living light of the Holy Spirit” dictated to her.

In this scripture she referred to topaz as a medicine for spiritual and physical blindness;

The recipe reads as follows:

  • ” You must immerse the stone in dry wine for 3 days and 3 nights.”
  • ” With the topaz stone already soaked in wine, the eyelids should be moistened several times a day without any drop of wine penetrating the eye”
  • ” This procedure should be repeated as many times as deemed necessary. But every five days the wine must be renewed and the topaz stone purified just as it was done in the beginning “

When St. Hildegard wrote her book, it was very difficult for a person to access all the information she handled, so her knowledge was considered to come from God. Although this stone was already considered a sacred stone because it was the first stone of Aaron’s breastplate, when the followers of the saint began to use it and see that it served them, its power spread throughout the world.

However, this is not the only way in which human beings used this stone, as healers also used to place it in the throat chakra and the solar plexus chakra for the body to absorb the powerful energy of this stone.

The topaz stone is ideal for restoring our organism and spirit, and although astrologically speaking it represents the sign of Geminis, anyone with the necessary faith can make a petition while focusing on it. Making petitions to the universe focusing on this gem allows us to drive our own thoughts and actions to go for it. It is a projection stone.

This beautiful stone is one of the favorites for royalty. In addition to its elegance, it is almost as resistant as a diamond. It is precisely its hardness, thanks to its chemical composition, that makes it perfect to adapt it to any type of jewelry: earrings, bracelets, necklaces and decoration, so the Egyptian civilization made it a symbol of the time.

And for that same reason, the imperial topaz is one of the most important stones in classical jewelry. For collectors, it is an investment that means owning a piece of land in its most beautiful version, either to keep it in its natural state or to adapt it to a piece of jewelry that can become a precious gift.

Acquiring the topaz stone to make it an amulet for personal use is certainly a magical experience. However, there is something about this stone that makes it an unforgettable gift, the reason? the truth is that it is not possible to know everything about this mineral, it is very old! but there is definitely energy and you can almost feel it. If the gift is addressed to someone who knows its story, he will be amazed and feel very special. However, if that person knows nothing about it, the gift becomes even more valuable, because you will have the opportunity to invite someone into this magical world while you make them feel strangely moved, thanks to the energy that emanates from the mineral.

If you are currently feeling well but know a loved one who is in a situation of lack of direction, giving them a topaz stone may be the best friendly hand you can offer, it is also the ideal gift for couples who are celebrating their 23rd wedding anniversary.

Today, the island is part of Elba National Park and is under legal protection. However, the island was closed to the public for an entire year due to collateral damage and disturbance caused by the birds that inhabit the area. Will they try to protect some other secret, or will they be the new guardians of this jewel?

We do not know, but today thanks to the curiosity of those gentlemen, we can enjoy the spiritual company of a beautiful topaz or honor a loved one with this jewel. The topaz is not a stone for anyone so you must give it to someone who resembles it in personality. That person could be yourself .

Tanzanite: The Discovered Treasure

Nature never ceases to surprise us. She continues to keep secrets that we may never discover. Fifty years ago in the skies of Africa, a lucky treasure hunter found under the ashes a very particular and shining object that would change his life and impose a new trend in the world of jewelry. Tanzanite is Kilimanjaro’s gift and its history is captivating. Would you dare to climb to the top of the mountain to discover it?

Elevated at 5891.8 meters, at the highest point of the magnificent African continent, in an area of only 14 square kilometers and 585 million years ago, happened one of those phenomena of the earth, which are so incredible that leave us breathless. This event is known as the “Pan-African event“. Because of this, the continents changed and this modification resulted in the mountain of Kilimanjaro, and the Great Rift Valley, in the only part of Africa from which you can see the whole continent, which is in the northeast of the country that hosts the cradle of humanity: Tanzania.

The geological events given in nature not only generate changes in the distribution of territories, because it turns out that below, very below in the surface of the earth, in a place which most of us ignore completely, are also happening multiple changes. This is where the magic of precious stones occurs. It sounds like a fantastic story but it is completely real and this particular case gives us a beautiful treasure discovered only about 50 years ago.

Kilimanjaro’s Treasure discovered

The area of Kilimanjaro was always very prone to forest fires. Sometimes, lightning can strike and originate flames. Despite these fires, explorers always visit the place in search of anything. One day, the mountain was visited by a group of Maasai hunters, who risked their lives going into caves and climbing to the top of the mountain, hoping to find something that would completely change the fate of their lives. One of these hunters, Ali Juuyawatu, was following the march with his companions, when suddenly between the dust and the ashes he saw some small blue stones; the hunter took what he could and when he returned he showed them to a gold and gems seeker, a Portuguese, called Manuel d’Souza.  At first they thought they were sapphires, because of their shimmering blue color.

For the hunters, it immediately became a symbolic and a sacred stone, as they maintained the faith that it would bring prosperity to their lives. It turns out that a few years later, tanzanite repeated history to change the life of a new woman, filling her life with prosperity. But this is a story for later.

The Maasai give great importance to the color blue. For them, it is the color of the sacred and it represents life, and new beginnings such as the sky, which marks the beginning of a new day and a new opportunity for life. Even in the same area where the jewel was discovered, the hunters gave this blue stone as a gift to the women in the gestation period as a symbol of blessing for the next baby to be born. Tradition transcended to such an extent that in some countries this blue jewel is given as a gift to a new mother.

Searching the feeling of prosperity, the rest of the fortune hunters went mountain after mountain in search of the beautiful blue stone. It was impossible not to be dazzled by a stone with a blue so particular that it feels like a violet tone.

Maasais

It was considered the gemstone of the 20th century and one of the most important discoveries for the jewelry world in the year 2000’s (if not the most important).

As all valuable goods quickly become known, an obsession for the stone was unleashed between the wealthiest. Manuel de Souza brought the discovery to the hands and eyes of John Saúl, who was a very important wholesaler of gems from Nairobi. Saul, together with an MIT doctor, made the decision to send the samples to Hyman Saul, the current president of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, and this took the small stones to the Gemological Institute of America. In the study process were also involved some mineralogists from Harvard University, Heidelberg University and the British Museum. Everyone wanted to know what this discovery was all about. However, it was a Tanzanian government geologist who finally managed to identify this stone. Thanks to Mr Ian McCloud we actually know how this stone is made up and where it comes from.

It turns out that it was there since the beginning, but its rough appearance is in the form of a brown tone that was never attractive to treasure hunters, the beautiful blue color can only be achieved once the environment of the stone reaches 600 degrees; that’s right, a fire.

Tanzanite Precious Stone

“The stone of Tanzania”, a thousand times more valuable than a diamond, was called:blue zoisite.A beautiful jewel of nature that can only be found in the 14 km space where it was originally found. It does not exist in the rest of the world, and that captivated all the specialists who described it in the following way.

  • Hardness: 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale, is not very durable, is mild, should be treated verycarefully and cannot be subjected to ultrasonic treatments.
  • Gloss: vitreous and pearlescent
  • Cutting: needs special cutters, has perfect cruising in one direction only.
  • Fracture: uneven
  • Exfoliation: good
  • Color: This is a trichromatic stone; this tells us that each Tanzanite stone has three colors: blue, red-violet and yellow-green brown (bronze). The intensity of the colors varies according to the angle where you look at the stone.

Since its discovery, approximately two million carats have been extracted from this stone, shortly before the mines were nationalized by the Tanzanian government in 1971. In 2010, the government said “No more” to the exports of this jewel if the rough piece weighed more than a gram. You may already have an idea of how complicated it is to get it.

Tiffany & Co

Tiffany & Co, equals prestige and royalty, and guess which jewelers were completely enraptured with the newly discovered jewel…

The undeniable beauty of this jewel exploded the heads of the world’s most important jewelers who were dedicated to designing the first and most beautiful jewelry the world had never seen. In October 1968, New York and Tiffany celebrated the new jewel: “Tanzanite” in honor of its place of origin where it had been hidden from the human eye for 6,000 years. Tanzanite had conquered the world in 1968 to never leave it. The executives of the powerful jewelry firm launched a thunderous marketing campaign whose slogans were: “1,000 times rarer than diamond”. and “You can find it only in two places all over the world, Tanzania and Tiffany“.

The Stone of Generation

Last 2017, tanzanite celebrated the 50th anniversary of one of the most important discoveries of the century, and the most important for the world of the jewelry industry in the 2000’s. The world surrendered to the beautiful African violet stone. However, nothing can be perfect and unfortunately the most striking faculty of the stone: “it only exists in one place of the world”, plays against all the fanatics and collectors who aspire to acquire this stone.

The existence of tanzanite is really limited, and with the current extraction rate, it is estimated that only 15 or 20 years remain before it disappears completely; which means that this generation will be the last to know this precious stone.

It is worth noting that tanzanite was formed in the depths of the earth 6,000 years ago, which is why it is said to appear when it is the right time in people’s lives. After centuries of excavations it was only in the 60’s when it began to be extracted; lovers of jewelry and the energy of the stones are really privileged.

If the discovery had taken place a few years earlier, we would probably only look at it in photos. We are the latest buyers of natural tanzanite in the world. For this reason, jewelers recommend collectors to acquire it, or simply those who want to keep a piece of history that will never return. This is the last moment.

View natural tanzanite earrings

The earth sometimes presents its works of art to us for a short time to remind us that it is still alive, and therefore we need to respect it.

Tanzanite Value

The rarer the combination of properties of a stone, and the more limited its supply, the more valuable a jewel will be. It doesn’t matter where you buy it from, the fact is that if this stone gets into your hands, there will be many hours of work involved.

Depending on its purity, it will be high or low cost, and it is through graduation that this factor is determined. Briefly said in terms of precious stones, the less inclusions it has, the purer and more expensive the stone has to be. The first-class gem is pure to the naked human eye. The normal tones of the most expensive stones are blue and purple, purple being understood as a spectrum of tone that lies between the color red and blue.

Some of the most important personalities in the world have under their power important samples of tanzanite, these people value their pieces as sacred objects, that in a little more than a decade will cease to exist. Look at this sample:

This piece is the largest tanzanite in the world, and is set in a beautiful tiara made with 803 green Tsavorites that were also extracted from the mines of Tanzania. The queen of Kilimanjaro is part of the collection of Michale Scott who was the CEO of Apple. However, it would be somewhat absurd to think that Michale preserves it only for its beauty, as the truth is that most people who choose it as their stone do so full of faith that they will receive all the prosperity and good omens that this stone has always brought to those who find it.

Magic Properties

Since its appearance before the Maasai hunters, much of humanity decided to become a believer in the goodness of this stone; half a century ago it was believed that whoever found it would be greatly blessed with prosperity and good fortune, the same as those who possess it.

A few years ago, the story of the Maasai hunters was repeated, this time touching the life of an incredible African woman named Pili Hussein:

Pili Hussein was born in Tanzania and her life since childhood was linked to the rough tasks of a “boy”; her father, who was a cattle farmer and had been married to 6 women, forced her to take care of the cattle, an activity that Pili definitely did not enjoy.

As she grew older, her life didn’t get any easier. At the age of 31, she had to run away from her former husband because she couldn’t resist any more abuses. She had to go ahead and defend herself, and for this she needed money; however, she did not have any experience other than what she had done with her father all this time…

For this reason, upon arriving at the village of Mererani, which is located in the foothills of Kilimanjaro, the only mountain in the world that produces Tanzanites and the highest in Africa, she decided to discard all the rules and engage in mining. But it wouldn’t be easy, because this work was completely forbidden for women.

“I came in dressed as a man, cut some pants and showed myself to be the strongest of them all.”

Only then could she continue working 10 to 12 hours a day, digging 600 meters deep. Just imagining her in this scene brings to our minds the image of the powerful Princess Mulan posing as a Chinese warrior to protect her elderly father; however, Pili only wanted to protect herself and find a new opportunity.

No one ever suspected her true identity, as she always carried a knife and acted like a real fierce animal. Until one day of misfortune, a group of miners with malevolent intentions sexually abused a woman passing through the mines and decided to blame Pili.

Despite her suffering and despair, the lie did not last long, as Pili confessed that she was a woman and was subjected to a series of tests that revealed that she was innocent, thanks to this truth she was able to be free.

Pili had to tell the truth to the authorities and asked for physical examinations to prove that she was a woman, it was thanks to this that she was released from prison.

Upon her release, she continued to dedicate herself to mining, day after day without rest. It wasn’t until one of those afternoons of physical and mental fatigue that you ask yourself, how much more will you have to fight; when Pili heard the answer of fate... After 10 hours of excavation, she found a mine of tanzanites that had not yet been discovered, in the same way that the stone had touched Ali’s life in the 60’s, it appeared as an angel in Pili’s story.

Pili Hussein with a sample of Tanzanite, courtesy of BBC

Pili invested her entire fortune in a mining company where 70 people worked for her, including women who worked as cooks. Mrs. Hussein managed to buy a house for her and for her family and paid for the education of 30 of her nephews and nieces. Today she lives in Africa near the mountain where this beautiful magic stone lives, enjoying its miracle, very close to home.

The tanzanite stone is not only a symbol of prosperity, but is also used in sessions to relieve stress in the new era that we live today. The most used technique is to place the stone in the brain chakra for a while, its energies will be absorbed and work where the person needs it most to induce a state of much relaxation. Some other specialists advise it to remove the toxic obsessions that deteriorate us internally.

Genuine Tanzanite

The worldwide adoration of tanzanite has led the large counterfeiting industries to create synthetic versions that are virtually identical to a real tanzanite. Although unlike other stones, the supply of tanzanite is kept under control, but imitations find their way into the market. It is very important for a stone collector, or for an amateur to know how to detect when the piece is genuine. Here are some tips:

The stone should be observed with a natural light bulb and an incandescent light, the genuine stone being trichromatic shows three colors, which are: blue and violet under natural light, but under incandescent light should notice red and pink flashes.

The color intensity of the face of the stone must be equal to that of the top. When iolite is used to imitate it, the angles are usually different from the top, more transparent and yellow.

Another valuable piece of information is to look for refractions in the stone, i.e. depth of shine, when the stone is false, colored glass is used and this looks flatter.

How to care for tanzanite

Equally, the most important thing is to acquire the stone from jewelers with good reputation; this besides taking care of the tanzanite, which is extremely delicate and must be handled following certain rules. Some collectors have come to lose perfect samples of the stone by simple carelessness.

One of the most important factors when caring for tanzanite is temperature, very sudden temperature changes or uneven temperature loads tend to damage it.

Its transparency makes it a favorite stone for jewelry marketed at very high prices, according to its category, so generally the pieces that have samples of tanzanite are quite delicate and for special occasions. Although wedding rings from Tiffany´s are quite sought after.

As mentioned in the characteristics of the stone, it is very sensitive to pressure loads such as those that take place in crushing and barrel work.

Even in the same treatment process it can be damaged. For example, cracks may occur when the stone is placed on the welding foil or on the cooling board.

Acids or mixtures containing any type of acid are completely prohibited, as well as the use of ultrasonic machines to clean the stone.

The world has only a few samples of tanzanite left, even those currently extracted do not become as pure as those that were ever obtained, so if you decided to have one for yourself, try to make it
100% real Kilimanjaro, so that it can help you give that change you need to your life and fulfill what you proposed in this year. It is undoubtedly very disappointing to know that they are almost exhausted, and that their presence in the world is the most ephemeral of all jewels, but this situation also makes it something very special.

Research to locate tanzanite somewhere else in the world has always been present, no one wants to let it go; however, during this half-century no clues could ever be found. So far, it is a unique place in the world, although experts do not lose faith.

Will tanzanite in this last decade have a new purpose on earth?

Yes, there are very few left, but you‘re still in time. Unlike the massai you don’t need to climb to the top of the mountain to discover it. Do you dare to experience its magic?

Fluorite: the stone of extraterrestrial wisdom

View Natural Fluorite Sample

The Fluorite is known for its multiple colors in a single sample, this brilliant gem was discovered by humans, leaving them speechless by its hypnotizing appearance. However, years later it went from being just a beautiful stone to becoming the “stone of genius“. It is a crystal created by the earth that has the gift of linking itself with the intellectuality of its wearer in a way as curious as it is effective, which we will show below.

As we grow and become more knowledgeable, it can happen that our creativity could be limited by certain factors that condition its natural flow. The one creativity we had when we were children and made us so happy and fun. This situation is normal when we reach adulthood and tends to affect enormously in our daily lives and even in our work, generating boredom and decay.

Despite the fact that the greatest medicine for emotionally negative situations in life is professional help, at present, human beings are increasingly inclined towards the natural help that the earth can offer with crystals such as fluorite. If you need to organize your thoughts and let them flow, this could be your biggest help. This story is totally out of this world. You’ll see why…

Etymology and creation

In the depths of our beautiful planet earth, fluorite was created by nature; it was formed in different geological conditions. The first deposits were of hydrothermal origin, where it was kept in contact with other carbonate rocks. There the consolidation of the magmatic fluids that were produced after the solidification of rocks such as granite created them.

However, the stone evolved and formed in other sites; the second sites were pragmatic, in this sense, it is associated with cassiterite, tourmaline, apatite and topaz.

Part of the fluorite was also formed in magmatic rock cavities with abundant silica and in metamorphic rocks; if this was not enough, it was also formed in sedimentary situations from volcanic water deposits in closed basins. All this is a sign that each of the processes that happen on earth has an end; none happens at random. For the fluorite, the earth joined its most beautiful components and energy.

Fluorite is a compound of calcium fluoride, its name comes from the Latin “fluere” which means to flow, and it is attributed this name to its liquid characteristic when melted, and to tell the truth, nothing better than its name to describe its main property of mind liberation and wisdom.

  • Chemical formula: CaF2 – calcium fluoride
  • Physical Properties: thermoluminescence, and fluorescence
  • Luster:Vitreous
  • Scratch:White
  • Crystalline system:Cubic

In the year 1529 Georgious Agricola had already described it, while the German naturalist Elsholtz in 1676 also described its fluorescence characteristics. The fluorite is a mineral that has hardness 4 in the scale of mohs. It is very soft;it can be scratched with a steel knife. This quality together with its particular colors, makes it one of the most admired, aesthetically speaking, especially in Roman times. Fluorite has been mostly known in history for being a decorative and collector’s stone, as its property of “stone of genius” was only recently known. In Roman times it was used to carve some of the most beautiful vessels and ornaments of the time. At that time Pliny the old man called her murrhina.

Most of these pieces are kept in the most important museums.

Some civilizations used this stone to strengthen bones and teeth. This is not surprising considering that the fluoride we use today to improve our dental health comes from it.

Stone of intelligence

Fluorite is used to activate the intellectual side of the brain. It has been known to be a stone of “discernment” as it brings the energy of responsibility to the qualities of intuition. What fluorite does is allow its wearer to gain control of his own mind. Keeping the mind in control allows ideas and ingenuity to act in the proper way: Let’s say fluorite makes it easier for you to travel through the avenues of the brain.

Fluorite has the ability to maintain the balance of the different energies of the mind: the good and the bad, these two personalities inhabit the brains of all human beings and are naturally very difficult to carry. By regulating these energies, it is easier to maintain calm and silence.

When human beings discovered this marvelous stone, they quickly wanted to know its origin; when we investigated it, we discovered an interesting history that escapes our possibilities. There is an old legend hidden behind the crystal of a thousand colors.

The story goes that the fluorite stone reached the earth to make it wiser and to endow those who possess it with a knowledge superior to that which ordinary humans have. Fluorite would come in the age of aquarius. There are those who say that this era began to make its way in the mid-twentieth century; it is a time of renewal of humanity, where new guidelines were born with the aim of transmitting unconditional love, peace among the masses and love for the land and nature. The era of aquarius is a very important concept for believing astrologers and for practitioners of yoga and reiki. This era came to banish the root of hatred that was consuming the earth. Clearly this is not an easy task, but we are already living it. However, throughout history, an amulet was needed to battle and to stay protected until victory was achieved. The amulet for those who believed and still believe in the age of aquarius is our beloved fluorite. This stone did not magically reach us, experts say it was deposited by beings from another planet, yes, extraterrestrials. It was a gesture and collaboration to the humanity that inhabited the earth at that time and to those who would live on it in the future.

Reservoirs

It is said that for this reason that samples of this gem can be found in many countries of the world: England, Germany, Canada, USA, Italy, Switzerland, France, Mexico, Peru, China, Brazil, Spain, Africa.

The most curious thing about this story is that the stone is discovered precisely in this segment of history when the human being was opening the way to the era of information and technology.

Some connoisseurs of this story may not believe in it, however there are others who made fluorite their amulet to reach the true intellectuality and banish the hatred of the past.

Fluorite Blue John

The most recognized fluorite, is known by the name of “Blue John“, although it is also known as Derbyshire Spar. This is a beautiful semi-precious mineral that is a form of fluorite decorated with purple-blue or half-yellowish bands. It actually has at least 12 different varieties with different stripes and grain tones.

The Blue John gem was created in a completely natural way through exposure to oily films millions of years ago. For the collectors it was very important and they gave it a very high value, because achieving it was not as simple as with some other gems. Blue John can only be found in the UK in the Blue John Cavern and the Treak Clif Cavern in Castleton in Derbyshire.

In ancient times it was used to create beautiful ornaments in the twentieth century, since then until now, its mining is still done on a very small scale.

Interestingly, small deposits of fluorite were recently found in China with colour bands similar to those of Blue John.

The blue John usually comes in nodules that are very easy to dislodge, this process can be done only with hammers, chisel and levers. The idea is that it can be done by an expert so that none of the parts are damaged. Blue John’s nodules are not easy to recognize, not just anyone can identify one. Only the most expert miners will be able to detect a true sample of this, even by its weight.

The Blue John Cavern is illuminated by electric light and it is suggested that the Blue John Cavern is the best that the general public can see in Western Europe.

The stone of magical colors

The color of fluorite has been a topic of discussion for hundreds of years. Strangely enough, fluorite itself is colorless, yet before our eyes nature presents it in multiple hues. The yellowish and greenish colors can be observed in this gem as well. Fluorites are so magical that they have the faculty to emit light, they become visible in the dark generating a fable environment, however, this does not happen all the time but in certain circumstances.

The first of these stones to be seen glowing in the dark was observed by Edward Daniel Clarque, who saw a green fluorite that emits a violet light when heated to boiling temperature.

Each one of their colors acts in the human subconscious in a different way, below is a brief review of the functionality of each of them.

Green Fluorite: The green fluorite energies are oriented to the heart. The human being finds it very difficult to control his emotions. Sometimes strong emotions such as love, hatred, resentment or fear act as a kind of curtain that does not allow you to think clearly and clouds reason and intelligent thoughts. The color green will allow its wearer to free himself from conflicting emotions that do not allow him to act intelligently.

Blue Fluorite: The energy of the blue color in company of the energetic field of the fluorite allows the carrier to connect the conscious and subconscious mind. This opens the way to clarity and calm. Calm, wisdom and love are necessary elements to cope with life today, as well as being the main components of the age of aquarius.

Purple Fluorite: Purple Fluorite is said to work in the third eye, awakening the sixth sense that allows you to sharpen your intuition; a skill that will allow you to better know and evaluate your environment and the way you interact with it.

Yellow Fluorite: Yellow is often related to joy, but what we will tell you today is that it is also the color of intellectual activities. Wisdom and creativity are related to the energy that transmits the color yellow. A yellow fluorite stone is an ideal gift for a creative in a state of blockage.

Transparent fluorite: The white and transparent tones of the fluorite complete the cycle of intellectuality by strengthening the spirit and closing the way to any emotional blockage that may take place.

In astrological terms, fluorite can be used by the natives of all zodiacal signs; however, it has special affinity with the natives of Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo, Cancer, Pisces, Libra, Aquarius and Leo.

How to use fluorite?

The best way to take the energies of this stone is to place it in the environment where you want it to work. If you want it to act on you it is advisable to place it close to the ear lobes.

Some believers place a very clean fluorite stone into water and then drink it. Others prefer to simply spray the water in the environment they frequent.

How to clean fluorite?

That’s right, this stone should be cleaned right after it’s used. You must be very careful because unlike the rest of the stones, itcannot be cleaned with traditional methods. When using salt and water, their characteristic shine will be reduced. The ideal way to protect your fluorite sample is to immerse it in a cold concoction of distilled water and sage, for just 30 seconds. It is important to remember that it is very soft and can be scratched easily, so to dry it, use water vapors and store it separately from the rest of other pieces.

It is wonderful to discover what is hidden in a young stone like this, especially because over the years it has been known mostly for being used on industrial processes related to metallurgy, iron and steel, and glass manufacturing. As well as for beautiful pieces of decoration. It is now that the human being finally managed to relate it to enlightenment.

Fluorite can help you eliminate any electromagnetic fog that may retain negative energies. It can providecalm and relaxation, and it can free you from anxiety.

The stone of intellectuality is the best gift that can be given to a person with a certain disorder in their life. Reiki practitioners fervently believe in this stone to establish order in the environment in which they are allowed to release their energies.

It turns out that this gem means so much more: the birth of an era and the restoration of the order of your ideas so that they can flow wisely. Did you already know this stone? We are anxious to hear your story.

Below you can discover one of our favorite specimens.

Citrine: what they didn’t tell you about the real stone

La imagen tiene un atributo ALT vacío; su nombre de archivo es stencil.instagram-photo-7-1024x1024.jpg

Citrine is a crystal that thanks to its color, transparency and energy manages to transmit freshness and prosperity. Its presence is so beautiful and peculiar that sometimes it even seems that we can breathe its aroma. The name citrino comes from the word “citrón” which means lemon in French. A stone worthy of high jewelry and royalty, however, its popularity was not only for its beautiful aesthetics but transcended a little beyond the physical to orient itself to a more spiritual level. We will invite you to discover the magic hidden behind the stone of royalty.

It was a mainly decorative stone, although by all the curative faculties that were discovered with the passing of the years, it quickly gained popularity in the new age era.

In the sixteenth century, it was established that citrine is a gem belonging to the family of yellow quartzes, therefore it would be a “Citrine Quartz”.Quartzes are usually a 7 on the Mohs scale, citrine is not the difference.

Its climate of prosperity comes from its cool pale yellow color that can sometimes lead to an orange tone. The color of citrine is due to the iron it contains, which acts as a chromophore; to explain this term briefly, we will say that it is the part of a set of atoms of a molecule that is in charge of its color. Chemically speaking, citrine is composed of SiO2, with transparent crystallization and density of2.65; and its colors, ranging from light yellow to dark, brown, gold.

As for energetic forces in relation to the citrine, the most frequent of these stories is the one that tells that the citrine stone contains all the energy of the sun.The faithful believers who carried out their adorations used this stone in rituals to be able to fill up with all this contained energy.

Citrine deposits

Authentic citrine stone is difficult to find, and originates from pegmatite rocks and hydrothermal deposits. Natural citrine crystals can be found in Sao João da Chapada, Diamantina, Minas Gerais, and some other locations in Brazil. In Spain there was a very important site in Villasbuenas, in Salamanca, exploited from the end of the eighteenth century to the middle of the twentieth century.

Due to the difficulty of obtaining this stone, experts managed to get a very similar stone by subjecting the amethyst to heat, the process can be done when the violet of the amethyst is so pale that it loses its value as a gem. This procedure has facilitated the lives of those who commercialize citrine in Uruguay, Brazil and South America.

What is citrine?

In the 16th century it was classified within the quartz family. Previously citrine was used as a protective talisman to prevent plague, wrong thoughts and skin problems.

To possess a citrine stone is to take in the hands a piece of history, to decorate the home with this stone is a remembrance to decorate the environment as the Romans did in antiquity.

This stone is characterized by being highly protective and leaves the door open to prosperity. It is the ideal choice for those who want to achieve success and fill their environments with peace, and are attracted by fresh citrus tones.

Citrine began to be considered a precious stone during the Hellenistic epoch of ancient Greece (323-146 B.C.) and was also carved in relief by slave emulators. The story goes that the Romans got their stones from India.

The citrine stone is attributed to the lion-headed goddess the “Flaming Lady” Sekhmet.

The creator mother’s stone

The goddess Dana is one of the most important characters of the Celtic culture. She is the goddess of the sun, from which she derives: light, heat, energy and life. On the night of 21 to 22 June begins the summer Solstice, one of the most important festivals of the Celtic calendar.  The legend tells us that the Druids centered the ceremonies and rites of these days around her: Dana, because for them she is the queen of the essential, the light. She was the universal mother, symbolizing rivers, water, wells, wind and prosperity, mainly because of this, the citrine is considered socially as the greatest representation of Dana, and is used to honor her.
She is capable of taking the form of a maiden, of a mother and of a divine lady, or whatever form the situation may require. Her main followers were the Tuatha of Danann, which in fact means “The Land of the Goddess Dana”. From the tuatha come all the mythological beings that fill us with intrigue and illusion: elves, fairies, and magicians.

Dana spread a lot of light, so her enemies, the Formorians representing evil, darkness and misfortune, wanted to destroy her. These beings meant the opposite of Dana, they were uneducated and hated the arts and knowledge. However, Celtic culture understands that it is necessary both good and evil; that is why they knew how to fight each battle against it until the light was allowed to triumph. Dana was the light, and she still is through citrine stone, this is the belief of those who worship her. The goddess of the sun would never leave and is there to bring us prosperity and enlightenment.

It is also the attribute of Chiron, the good centaur preceptor of Asclepius, the Greco-Roman god of medicine.

Starting in the 17th century in Scotland, large citrine stone crystals were used to make more beautiful dagger handles, which today rest in important museums. They also used this stone for the pins of their Scottish skirts and for men.

In the 17th century, royalty was also marked by the citrine stone, when Emperor Charles V and Queen Victoria were enraptured with it, their passion for citrine was authentic and very particular. To honor it, they used to putobjects in it.

In Victorian times, a very high demand for citrine arose at the beginning of the 20th century, during the Art Deco period, where Cartier made exquisite pieces of high jewelry with citrines, among other gems, which went to great leaders, movie stars of the time and many other personalities.

Cartier has been the brand that has given more prominence to citrine. Such is the case with the Tank Ring.

Magical properties of citrine

Where to start… Cleaning and purifying stone, the earth gave us this stone not only to make the most exquisite jewelry but also to use it as a spiritual regenerator. The citrine works from the inside out.Imagine cleaning your mind and spirit to the point that it is as transparent as the appearance of the stone …

Healing properties of citrine

History tells us that ancient civilizations used it to get rid of animal venom, but today it is more used to relieve diseases of the pancreas and nervous system.

The citrine stone helps to stimulate the digestive system and therefore relieve constipation. In this process, the spleen and pancreas are benefited. This energetic crystal is also recommended for people suffering from degenerative diseases, urinary tract infections, circulation and thyroid problems.

At the beginning we told the story of the Goddess of the flames and the importance of this stone for women, but it turns out that the story does not end there. This stone is an elixir for women, because it helps them to control the uncomfortable symptoms of menopause, such as fatigue. The reason? the stone has an enormous influence on the improvement of hormonal imbalances.

For the ancients, the Citrine was the union of the consciousness of the spiritual masters who had previously incarnated as Jesus, Buddha, Mitra, Hermes, and Zoroaster.

The citrine mainly works the solar plexus chakra, the third chakra that represents the center of life of our physical body and vitality. This is the chakra through which the sun’s rays pass and these are the ones in charge of keeping the body alive. What the citrine does is emanate vibrations that make this chakra stronger and give us a healthier life. Empowering the solar plexus chakra is a dose of strength to ourbody.

Rituals

The experts of the new age have left us a series of rituals that are believed to attract very positive effects.

This powerful ritual is highly recommended to be done in the specific place where the business is developed. The procedure is based on anointing candles of pine, verbena or dill, from the ends to the center, while visualizing the respective need. The next step is to place the three candles on a triangle-shaped plate. Outside the plate 3 triangular-shaped coins will also be placed, and on top of these the citrine pieces. Then light the candles while visualizing the goal as if it had been achieved. Once the person feels the process is complete,he should wait for the candles to be consumed.Once this happens, store the items in a bag along with a few twigs of cinnamon. This bag should be placed on the door of the business.

This stone is also used to increase imagination:

In order to attract creativity, you should place the citrine in your mouth on the left cheek (always with great caution), then light charcoal and sprinkle bay leaf on top. You will have to concentrate and aspirate what is produced by burning laurel (be careful not to suffocate). While doing this, you can feel how from the inside the citrine fills you with creative energy; and the smoke of laurel, from the outside, invades you with a very similar feeling.

How to use citrine?

In order to obtain all the properties of citrine it is very important to place it in certain positions. To attract the ray of spiritual light from the stone you must put it between your fingers and throat, so that there is a contact with the skin. It is also highly recommended to use spheres made with citrine to meditate with them. Meditating with the citrine for 9 consecutive days will allow you to accommodate your financial problems, the best regency time for the citrine is 3:00 am. To bring prosperity to the places that need it like your home, office or business it is advisable to place it in a corner.

The citrine is very requested to make jewelry, particularly combined with pink and yellow gold, giving joy and elegance to any bracelet, earring or necklace.

It can be obtained in various sizes and with oval and rectangular shapes. It is widely used as a central stone for rings, earrings and bracelets. The slightly lower quality citrine combined with white quartz is used for beads of necklaces or bracelets.

How to take care of citrine?

One of the main needs of citrine is to maintain its brightness and this is not impossible with the following tips :

It is recommended to avoid that the citrine perceives so much light, because it is sensitive to solar radiation and this can generate that the color ends up fading. Lime and other chemicals, as well as intense heat, should also be avoided.

The citrine must be protected from hits and falls, because it is a hard stone but it is not impossible to break it.To clean it, just a little neutral soap and soft bristle brush, then wash with water and dry with a soft cloth.

How to detect fake citrine?

Why deceive people with citrine that is not authentic? well, it turns out that this stone has high demand from those who are in search of prosperity and peace in their lives and rely on the energy of the stones to receive this help. For this simple reason the stone houses are in charge of recreating the citrine that is not easy to obtain.

Citrine stones that are not authentic are also very nice, if you want only for decorative purposes, probably one of these will serve you. On the other hand, if the person is looking to obtain the physical and spiritual benefits of crystal, then it is very necessary to know how to discover the false citrine. Here we leave a series of recommendations:

The easiest way to find a fake citrine is to radiate with heat, in a totally artificial way, pieces and/or tips of natural amethysts: when they are subjected to heat in a forced way they are affected in their chemical structure that changes almost completely and take on a yellowish appearance. However, this modification alters the vibrations transmitted by this piece, its resonance will no longer be the same.

The authentic citrine stone, before becoming a beautiful citrine was an amethyst stone. However, nature influenced it with a little time and volcanic heat, so it naturally changes its color.

The natural color of citrine is very similar to the color of white wine. When the citrine presents a somewhat orange color is due to the great pressure and closeness to the volcano, as occurs with the citrine pieces from Mexico, which, despite being completely natural, are a yellowish-orange color.

Authentic citrine is soft yellow or perhaps a little golden. While the treated citrine is a very strong orange. In addition, the natural citrine has a more homogeneous color, while the treated amethyst has an orange that intensifies towards the tips.

It is often very strange that a citrine stone has a geode/druse shape like amethyst, so the evaluation of this characteristic is also very good for discovering a false citrine.

It would be advisable to choose natural stones made by Mother Nature at her own pace, however, experts suggest to those who want this stone, acquire a natural citrine and a treated citrine. This is the simplest way to know each version and learn to recognize the differences. It also allows its carrier to test the energy capabilities of each stone.

Choosing an authentic citrine is not difficult, it is important to know that the less inclusions a gem has and the more transparent it looks, the more quality the stone has. However, you should know that no matter its size or where it is used, the most important thing is to connect with it, and this is not impossible, just the fact of being attracted to it works.

Now that you know its history and are ready to value and understand this stone, we invite you to discover all beautiful pieces where this stone shines and carries all its energies. Yours is waiting for you.

Ruby Stone: Dangerous Magic

La imagen tiene un atributo ALT vacío; su nombre de archivo es rubi-1-1024x1024.jpg

Beautiful, captivating and dangerous ruby. This jewel known for its dazzling red color, shares the category of precious stone with sapphire and diamond. Its beauty and prestige became one of the favorite jewels of the most important personalities in the world, actresses, aristocrats and monarchs preferred it to adorn their most famous real pieces. Jewelry is not only used to manifest ostentation but also as a spiritual and physical protection company.

History and Etymology

The ruby is beautiful but it also has a magic that must be very careful, its energy activity is possibly the strongest of all the stones; However, it should be used with caution, you must be very sure of what you want and what it feels like because it will allow you to achieve it and there will be no going back.

Humanity met the ruby through the writings of India dating back 2300 years BC, its name comes from the word “ruber” in Latin which means “red.” The beautiful ruby became known in the world quickly, the East being the place where it gained more popularity, there defined as “a drop of blood from the heart of mother earth.“

For their part, the Indians called it Ratnanayaka, which can be translated into a phrase similar to “The King of Precious Gems” or “The Boss,” they divided them into castes, similar to social classes. Rubies represented the “upper class” of jewels in terms of impeccability, beauty and also “magic.” At that time, it was forbidden to join this stone with a lower crystal because it was believed that it could become contaminated and lose its divine power.

In India, those who donated rubies to honor Krishna were granted the joy of being reborn as emperor in the afterlife, this happened as a manifestation of karma “by granting power you will be granted power.

Dangerous magic stone

The ruby is the favorite gem of those who have the power, for the same reason that it has the gift of enhancing an existing force. If it is love, it is love, if it is power it is power and if it is a negative feeling, then you have to be very careful. This stone can inspire an emotion much more than any other stone. It means love and passion.

Ruby stone is much more adapted to those who have already achieved something in life.

Ruby stone in the bible

In the bible it is considered the first gemstone in the ancient Sanskrit writings:

“And they set four orders of stones in it. The order was a ruby, an emerald, and a chrysolite; this was the first order ”

“In Eden, in the garden of God you were; every precious stone was your garment; the sardium, topaz, diamond, turquoise, onyx, and beryl, sapphire, ruby, emerald, and gold. The works of your drums and freaks were noticed in you the day you were created. ”

In the time of Jesus Christ, experts already perceived the supreme strength of this stone and that is why they considered it the first.

What makes ruby so special?

It’s about its hardness and its magical energy. This stone is really strong, its hardness is only inferior to that of the diamond, this immediately makes it not only more beautiful and dangerous of all but also the second strongest. It is very difficult to break a ruby, as well as, it was difficult to carve it in ancient times; This faculty also made it one of the most exclusive. Those who had it were the wealthiest and those who felt with the security and firmness of carrying this stone and not being affected by its power.

Ruby is probably the most used gem by artists for the elaboration of similes and analogies, especially when one wishes to express desire or passion: “She had ruby lips”, or as is the case with “Diana’s 7 books” : “The eagle that carried a ruby in its claws”, as a reference to a heart in love, which is a double-edged sword as is the case with this stone. The ruby has a hardness of 9 on the mohs scale, and although its color is usually red, sometimes pink pieces are usually seen.

Pliny the old man compared the ruby with the fire, and at the same time he said that the crystal is not afraid of him.

Minerals with rutile inclusions, that are looking like stars, are also very high valued. These stones are very rare and therefore expensive.

Living flame stone

In times of constant battles they allied themselves to this beautiful stone, the soldiers appreciated it and considered it their power crystal, because of its color they associated it with blood and its ability to preserve life. It is very difficult to know if it is only because of this similarity or because of the ancient beliefs that decided to take it as protective, but it was.

Those who risk their lives have a special connection with this gem, because the stone of all or nothing, if you leave with confidence to such work the ruby only enlarges your level, gives you invulnerability. For some it was only enough to place the stone on the left side of their body, but there were other soldiers who inserted the stone into their flesh because they thought that really the stone would always accompany them. The ruby protected them from spears, guns and swords. Today those who use it do not protect themselves from swords but protect themselves from negativity and negative energies, as well as themselves, on some occasions …

The ruby has its own internal light that when viewed closely looks like a living flame of fire, this feature is truly captivating and at the same time it is a disadvantage because if you want to wrap it for a gift, its light can shine and reveal its presence. This is why it was also called “The living torch.”

The legend of the beautiful Maharaní

In India, the wife of the Maharana who is the king or monarch of the state of India is called Maharaní. An old legend tells the story of a particularly beautiful Maharani who gave rise to the ruby stone.

This young lady, because of her beauty, woke up the envy of women who wanted to be like her, and gentlemen who did not accept that it could not be for them.

One sad day the beautiful Maharani walked along with a transparent stone in her hands, when suddenly a member of the court that hunted her decided to kill her. Maddened by jealousy it took his life and it fell to the ground, bloodstaining the beautiful transparent glass and turning it red forever.

Ruby is a stone with courage. In this story he represented death and hate, but it is our duty to take his powerful magic to power love, we already know how his energy works.

The queen of the gems

Jewelry is a world of glitz and glamour, where each of the stones has a special economic and spiritual value; However, cases related to the ruby always go level:

We were at the end of 2005 when Jean-Marc Lunel, senior specialist in international jewelry, received a phone call from Christie’s office in Monaco. They told him about a client who wanted an assessment of some jewels that were stored in a bank safe.

The collection consisted of 9 precious jewels signed by Faraone, Van Cleef & Arpels, and three magnificent Bulgari rings. The most valuable of these pieces was a Burmese ruby weighing 8.62 carats that had not been treated.

Burmese rubies of this size, and that have not been treated, are incredibly rare. Finding one with a crystal of incredible purity, which barely shows inclusions, and with a beautiful red tone, is something that happens once in a lifetime.

In the sales hall a battle of offers of 20 minutes was provoked before being finally bought for $ 3,637,480, at that time the highest price per carat ($ 421,981) ever reached for a ruby. After the sale, the identity of the buyer was revealed and the name of the ruby ”The Graff Ruby” was changed. The auction proved to be a milestone for colored stones, underlining their value, importance and rarity.

Ruby deposits

Sri lanka was the site where the first ruby extraction was carried out 2500 years ago, although Burma is currently the one who holds the honor of being the country that supplies the most rubies. The rubies of the Mogok Valley are considered by experts as the best in the world, the purest and most beautiful, and therefore the one that offers the best properties.

It is also possible to find it in Vietnam, Kenya and Tanzania.

One of the most valued rubies is known as “pigeon blood” that is extracted in Burma, specifically in the Myan mines.

The rubies that are extracted in Thailand are of a darker color and less intense than those that come from Burma, of high quality and therefore, more expensive. This does not mean that Thai rubies are not good but they are more affordable.

Rubies that come from África have many inclusions, that is, small defects that damage their purity, but still very beautiful stones can be found with special clarity at good prices.

La imagen tiene un atributo ALT vacío; su nombre de archivo es mapa-1024x1024.jpg

Ruby price

The value of a ruby is based on its intensity the uniform color. Unlike what is thought, a ruby less red but with uniformity is more expensive than a fire red but with variations in hue. The highest quality ruby can cost more than a diamond, having the same quality and weight. This is because it is a very rare phenomenon.

The color tones can be pale pink to red-black. The “correct” color is that of “pigeon blood” (bright red with violet tones). This type of stone is the most unusual.

How to know if the ruby is authentic?

The simplest test to know if the ruby is real is to try to scratch it, the authentic jewel cannot be marked because it is incredibly hard. While the false stone when scratched with a coin the mark is noticed.

When scratching a surface with the stone, if it leaves a red mark, it means that it is not real and it is a piece of stained glass. Another special factor of the ruby is that its brightness is similar to the light of a traffic light, lived and dark, while the fake stones are bright but not bright.

However, an expert in jewelry, is the right person to examine a piece of ruby and detect its authenticity, if you really want to enjoy the magic that accompanies this stone.

In European countries it was the stone of brave and courageous gentlemen, faithful to their ideals. In the countries of the East, it was believed to be dragon blood, which symbolized vital energy.

Ruby uses

This beautiful stone is mainly used to make beautiful and sometimes very expensive pieces of jewelry, but its uses are not limited solely to the exploitation of its beauty. She has also served humanity to manufacture mechanical watches, in which they serve as support or hub of the axles subjected to rotations since their hardness resists friction wear.

Healing properties of ruby

The queen of gems is one of the most beautiful and the most powerful of all, but all power carries great responsibility. It must be taken in the hands with a lot of security and decision because the feeling that is lived in that moment is the one that will be able to propagate infinitely. The ruby fills its bearer of courage.

The ruby makes a good person even better, turns someone bad into a true villain, helps noble and brave people win victories, and gives ordinary people happiness and love. It should not be used for black magic or to transmit negative energies, remember, everything you profess with it is returned to you.

Its energy also provides very positive results for health problems such as bleeding, appetite, insomnia and blood pressure.

Rubies are beautiful elegant and imposing, they have the magical gift of providing confidence and class to those who wear them, perhaps this is one of the favorite jewels of English royalty.

One of the pieces of royal jewelry of Queen Elizabeth is the necklace of the “96 rubies” that was commissioned to the Garrard house in 1973, these Burmese rubies are a symbolic gesture that represent the protection of disease and evil.

Usually the ruby is admired and coveted for its beauty and courage, those who seek it want to boast status and rank. However, their true importance lies in the message they reveal from whom formed them: the earth.

For the most expert scientists, a gem like ruby is something similar to a message inside a bottle, a clue, a very interesting fact of all the chemical forces that act deep inside the earth; as well as a source of energy that is too powerful to be used with caution.

History’s favorite gem

It is very complicated to tell the story of this stone without referring to the many times in which humanity has honored it. This stone has been enlarged in every way. The most expensive shoes in the world designed by Stuart Weizman wear 642 rubies and cost 1.6 million dollars.

Surely you will also remember the famous glove of the King of Pop … This significant piece wore rubies. Michael Jackson was sure of the gifts of this stone and that is why he decided to accompany it in several of the most epic moments in its history.

Another figure who was in love with this gem is the beautiful Elizabeth Taylor, the woman with violet eyes received as a gift from her third husband one of the most famous and valuable ruby jewelry sets in history. However, the largest ruby in the world so far is owned by a Chinese jewelry firm and weighs 8,184 grams.

Modern designers are using rubies not only in jewelry and clothing, but also in very unusual things. For example, in Japan they created a ruby cake with a weight of 90 carats. However, no one dared to buy this culinary artwork for $ 3 million.

Esoteric properties of ruby

Ruby is a stone of fire, so ancient Egyptian and Arab astrologers believed that ruby stone is the best friend for those born in Sagittarius, although modern jewelers say it belongs to cancer (even though Cancer is a sign of water and Sagittarius is fire). But in reality these two signs of the zodiac can wear jewelry with rubies, as it will help Sagittarius have more power and have people around them, and in the case of cancer, it will help them express their feelings and strengthen love.

An eighteenth-century Arab book about Achametis’ dreams discusses the importance of dreaming about rubies. If a king dreams of a crown set with red jewels like rubies, this indicates that he will be filled with much happiness and fortune. His enemies would fear him even more. Other sources say that ruby dreams indicate success in business. For soil tillers, dreams mean a good harvest.
